Quality Inspector

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect in-process production by conducting visual inspection of Microelectronic Assemblers using the appropriate Military Standard. Ex: MIL-STD-883 TM2010 and TM2017
  • Inspect and approve finished products to specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests. Follow procedures for processing acceptable and reject materials.
  • Document inspection results by completing applicable reports and logs. Initiate Discrepant Material Reports when necessary and send to QA Manager.
  • Initiate, prepare for, and accompany Customer Source Inspections.
  • Inspect, correct, and approve the work of the Microelectronic Assemblers.

Primary skill and specifications:

  • Ability to use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually at incoming, in-process and final inspection.
  • Ability to accept or reject defective units. Ability to initiate Discrepant Material
  • Reports when necessary and follow through to closure.
  • Ability to work from assembly procedures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions and checklists.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with effective organizational skills, including strong time-management, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline, and data-driven environment.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of microelectronic manufacturing environment preferred
  • Microelectronic Assembly experience preferred
  • Working knowledge and hands on experience working within the following areas of assembly preferred: hand mounting, die attach, wire bonding, package sealing, and leak testing
  • Working knowledge of Military Specifications as it applies to the manufacturing of microelectronic components required
  • Ability to work with the aid of microscopes
  • Ability to handle product with tweezers
  • Ability to frequently use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time

Test Operator

KCB Solutions, LLC, leading manufacturer of RF and Microwave surface mount components within the Military, Aerospace, and Satellite Industries, is looking for a skilled and team oriented individual to join the KCB team.

Primary Responsibilities:

KCB is seeking a Test Operator to support the final test operations of its manufacturing group. As part of a team the Test Operator will ensure that KCB’s products are tested appropriately in accordance with established procedures.

Primary activities include:

  • Set up test fixtures to test RF electronics using calibration tools to ensure accurate data
  • Read and record data to ensure test results meet data specifications and parameters while trouble shooting any issues that may occur

Test Software Engineer

As part of the Product Realization process, the Test Software Engineer plays a key role in developing a robust test environment to ensure quality products meet customer requirements as well as internal cost and manufacturability goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing time/cost-effective methods of testing RF modules including power amplifiers, switches, and LNA’s.
  • Supporting existing software issues and upgrades.
  • Preparing new/improved test software and procedures for new products.
  • Planning and executing improvements to test automation.
  • Supporting efforts to integrate design verification testing.
  • Developing schedules and capital plans for lab improvement.

Primary skill and specifications:

  • Thorough understanding of programming techniques to drive test equipment from various manufacturers.
  • General knowledge of analog/RF semiconductors and board-level products.
  • Ability to write scripts to automate data reporting.
  • Participation in the development of test roadmap and capital plans.

  • Experience with software development related to driving RF test equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Analyzers, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with industry best practices for software version control preferred
