KCB Solutions has experienced engineering staff that can either offer design or process assistance as well as full product design capability. With over 40 years experience in RF design and microelectronic packaging, KCB personnel are well equipped in designing microelectronic products that meet a wide variety of applications and markets.
KCB utilizes a Design Input Form (DIF) to accurately capture all key product requirements including:
Design Reviews
Each new product receives three thorough reviews:
Preliminary Design Review: During this review the initial design concept is scrutinized for validity against the design inputs. In addition all required documentation is identified and a project plan is generated.
Critical Design Review: This review occurs after the initial design and documentation set is generated and prior to ordering material to ensure that all key design parameters are validated.
Manufacturing Readiness Review: This is the last review of the process and occurs after prototypes have been built and analyzed. All documentation is reviewed one last time and released to manufacturing.
Each new product receives a thorough review to verify that the design outputs (drawings, procedures, schematics, software, etc.) meet the design input requirements. This is typically performed first during the preliminary design review and then again during the critical design review. For custom products, this verification includes a compliance matrix that matches each customer requirement as stated in the specification against the key design parameters. This matrix ensures that each customer requirement has been addressed.
Design Validation Testing (DVT) is performed on each new product to ensure that the design meets all of the requirements specified by the customer as well as internal product requirements.
